6th Graders at St. Thomas More Catholic School contribute to new hospital

Brian Quantrille (pictured on the right) is a 6th Grade teacher at St. Thomas More Catholic School in Baton Rouge, LA.  Every year since 2005, Brian has hosted a fundraising event called Q-Ballers, which engages all of the students in the 6th grade class.  Every 6th grader is invited to purchase raffle tickets to be selected as one of only 20 Q-Ballers.  Q-Ballers are then invited to attend a day of fun and games in the school’s gymnasium along with several of their teachers.  Games include human shuffleboard, noodle tag and dodgeball.

Quantrille said, “This year, the students were inspired to show support for one of their fellow St. Thomas More students that is battling cancer and altogether contributed $1,482 towards the building of the new freestanding Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.  We’re so proud of all of the 6th grade students at STM (St. Thomas More) for participating in support of this great cause!”
