Dance Marathon at LSU Kicks Off 6th Year of Miracles

With school back in session, Dance Marathon at LSU student leaders are excited to kick off another year of making miracles for the patients at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.  Last Friday, students leaders met for a kick off presentation to learn more about Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital and the impact their fundraising has on the patients.

After, students got the chance to hang out with Miracle Kids Atticus, Dayton, and Drake at a local bowling alley.  There were smiles from ear to ear as the students laughed and told jokes with the patients and their families.

Dance Marathon at LSU, beginning it’s sixth year on campus, is the largest student-run philanthropy on campus.  Students volunteer and fundraise year-round for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.  The year culminates with The Big Event where over 500 students stand and dance to celebrate the lives of pediatric patients.  Over the past five years, Dance Marathon at LSU has raised over $1,000,000 for the kids at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital!
