Love’s Makes Miracles for Kids in Stores and with New 5K Race-The Super Kid Run

Love’s Travel Stops will kick off their 18^th annual fundraising campaign to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals this Saturday, August 26^th! With more than 430 locations nationwide, Love’s will sell Miracle balloons for $1 and host events to raise money for sick and injured kids.  Locally, Love’s Travel Stops in Port Allen, Louisiana will raise funds for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge.

Customers can support their local Love’s fundraising by stopping by when they’re on the road! Miracle balloons can be purchased with or without additional items at the register. This year, Love’s hopes to raise more than $2.6 million through this campaign.  Love’s has raised over $18 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since the beginning of its partnership in 1999.

This year, Love’s Travel Stops in Louisiana are partnering together to host the Super Kid Run, a 5K race and family day in Lafayette, Louisiana at Moncus Park (2913 Johnston St.).  There will be both kid and adult costume contests, so don’t forget to wear your best super hero costume for your chance to win prizes! You can expect a day of face painting, carnival games, jump houses, and family friendly music.  Most importantly, Love’s has organized this day to raise funds for the kids being treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Louisiana.  The fun will be begin at 9 am on Saturday, September 16^th.  Be sure to check out the race information at superkidrun.com.  If you can’t run, you can donate, and a special Super Kid Run race package will be delivered to a child in the hospital in your honor.
