Atticus Southall – What a Champion!

 

On March 16, 2018, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital honored Atticus Southall for serving as the 2018 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Champion for the local hospital.  Atticus was selected from more than 110,000 pediatric patients treated by Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.  Read more about Atticus’ amazing miracle story here.

Mayor-President of East Baton Rouge Parish, Sharon Weston Broome, proclaimed March 16, 2018 officially as “Atticus Southall Day” for East Baton Rouge Parish.

Following the Champion Celebration at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, Atticus was honored additionally by having the opportunity to throw out the first pitch in front of more than 10,000 spectators at the Louisiana State University vs. University of Missouri Baseball Game, LSU’s SEC Season Opener.

The Southall Family wraps up “Atticus Southall Day” at the LSU Baseball Game. More than 10,000 spectators watched as Atticus (yellow cap) threw out the game’s first pitch and was recognized by the Alex Box Stadium PA Announcer for being selected as 2018 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Champion for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
