Extra Life – Play Games. Heal Kids.

If you could save kids’ lives by playing a video game, would you do it?  It sounds too easy, but that’s because it is!

Extra Life unites thousands of players around the world in a 24-hour gaming marathon to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Extra Life is a gaming marathon that benefits Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, treats over 110,000 pediatric patients annually and needs your help to make sure that patients continue to receive world-class healthcare.  Currently, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital is fundraising to build a freestanding children’s hospital located between Essen Lane and Bluebonnet Boulevard.

Over the past 4 years, Extra Life Baton Rouge has raised over $50,000 for the kids at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital! By participating in Extra Life, you have the exciting opportunity to fundraise and recruit friends and family to join your team on National Game Day, November 4th!

So what do I have to do to help save kids’ lives?  Sign up, commit to play games for 24 hours, and then reach out to your personal network to share your fundraising page and collect donations.  It’s that easy!  You can play tabletop board games, video games, or really any game you can think of.  Visit extra-life.org today to learn more about how to help the kids and like Facebook.com/Extralifebatonrouge to get updates on Baton Rouge’s local gaming community!
