Meet Jacob, Miracle Child!

Jacob had surgery at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital  in December of 2010 for intestinal malrotation. He was in the hospital about 12 days at Christmas time. In February of 2013, Jacob had to have emergency surgery during which they removed half of his large intestines. He was hospitalized for again about a month. He has since been diagnosed with Eosinophilic Ganglionitis.

Jacob continues to be in and out of the hospital, but his parents are thankful that “from the ER to the pediatric floor, everything is designed with children in mind.  Jacob enjoys playing the Wii in the playroom and has been able to bond with the Child Life Specialists at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
